Dave Elkin opened The Prop Shop and has been providing high quality and on time service to the marine industry for over 30 years. During this time the reputation of The Prop Shop has extended itself throughout California and the greater Bay Area. The fine craftsmanship and experience which you will find here is unparalleled. Dave truly put his heart and soul into this shop and has passed on the tradition and values found at The Prop Shop.

The Prop Shop is now under new management with Andrew Corrales & Tyler Goulart. Dave is still involved with quality control throughout production and is a highly valued mentor. This Prop Shop Richmond is honored to be maintaining this craft and look forward to being able to meet all of your propeller and shaft repair needs.

Tyler Goulart
Tyler is someone who loves to work with his hands and believes that “if you don’t love what you do then you won’t do it with much conviction or passion.” He has been working in the Marine industry since 2012 and has been committed to educating himself on all aspects the business. Tyler enjoys finding solutions and making the impossible possible. He is excited to continue the tradition of high caliber work at the Prop Shop. In his free time he enjoys hiking mountains and spending quality time with his wife and children.

Andrew Corrales
Andrew was born and raised in the East Bay and has been working in the Marine industry since 2011. He is someone who loves a challenge both in and out of the shop. His motto is “don’t stop when you’re tired, stop when the job is done!” Andrew is a Marine Black Smith and can be found welding exotic metals or braze welding. He has a Class II NDT certification in weld inspections and is currently a Union Glazier for local 718 out of the SF Bay Area. Andrew’s hobbies outside of the shop include surfing, running & coaching youth football.
